I've been trying to find time to post a note about last week's LEVA conference since I got back, but have just been overwhelmed with the ever expanding to-do list. It was really great seeing a lot of long time friends and colleagues and getting a chance to learn and network with them again. The entire event seemed to go flawlessly, as always, in large part due to the tireless efforts of the LEVA volunteers (e.g. board & officers).
I attended Jonathan Hak's pre-conference training course and found it to be very well organized, presented, and extremely informative. The moot court training was key, regardless of your role in the process. Watching other experts testify and be cross examined is probably even more valuable than testifying yourself, and when you get to do both as often as we were able to it is priceless. It's one of those courses I'd gladly take again in the future, as you simply cannot get enough of that type of experience.
I also wanted to thank all of those who attended, both in person and online, my VirtualDub training session Thursday morning. I greatly appreciate the feedback from both sets of attendees and look forward to further developing that course to give again the future.
Thanks to all the vendors, sponsors, and volunteers that helped make the 2010 LEVA conference such a success. I can't wait to do it all again next year in Coeur d'Alene!
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!
