How do I do "Customer Service" in a digital world?
It is no different than providing customer service in the brick & mortar world. Give a shit. Test your processes. Don't be greedy. Put data collection behind customer experience, not in front of it, morons.

If I buy a piece of hardware from you, I shouldn't have to give you my first born to turn it on and use it. I shouldn't even have to create an account. I own the damn hardware. Get the user using your shit-bag device, show them the basics if you can, explain that much more is available with an account. SIMPLE.
