Earlier today I deployed a new Members-Only chat system for our professional community members. Once a member logs in they'll find a small chat bar in the lower right-hand corner of their browser. Now members can immediately know who's online, chat one-on-one with them, or even invite members to a group chat by simply clicking the invite button next to their name. Do you use Skype? Great, click the chat settings icon (gear icon) and enter your Skype ID; now members can quickly click-to-call you via Skype video too!

Like all DME Resources content, Members-Only chat is served via a minimum of a 128-bit encrypted connection; 256-bit in many cases. For those occasions when you're not feeling very social, you can click the settings icon and deactivate the chat feature. Give it a go and let me know your thoughts. Digital & Multimedia Analsysis includes all things digital, including multimedia.

Digital Multimedia Analysis is specific to multimedia.

You can just press play if you want to, but if you're forensically processing evidence, I wouldn't advise it. Know the playback software, as it is just as important to proper playback and interpretation as the hardware. Take Windows Media Player, for instance.

Booked my travel yesterday for next month’s DVR Assessment & Video Recovery course at the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in Kissimmee, FL. This 3-Day course is designed for anyone who is doing digital video evidence recovery from DCCTV systems, from those brand new to the field to Certified Forensic Video Analysts with several years of experience.

I swung by a national discount department store the other day, and while walking through their electronics department strolled down an entire aisle of cordless phones on display. Interestingly enough I notice this enormous sign above the aisle that read "900 MHz Good - 2.4 GHz Better - 5.8 GHz Best".

I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised by blatant lies in marketing messages anymore, but this one got to me for some reason. So I thought I'd poke around on the Web to see what the manufacturers themselves were saying, and to my surprise found that they're probably the source of this marketing ploy.
