Always Scan Downloads for Malicious Code

One of our members notified me yesterday that a file which had been uploaded to our site contained a signature associated with a known Trojan.  As soon as possible, I verified using multiple tools and removed the file from our server (H264Player.zip).  Always scan ALL downloads and attachments for malicious code, regardless of perceived source.

No single virus program can or will catch all malicious code, and of course these programs can only protect against known malicious code.  To supplement my virus tools I often use various free online scanning tools, such as VirusTotal.com

If you identify a file obtained from our servers or the FVA FTP server that you believe to contain malicious code, please notify me immediately so that I can take action to protect other members.  Thank you for your valuable time and continued support of our community.  Have a great weekend!
