Manufacturers often skew their specification sheets to make their product seem better than it really is, typically by providing confusing references and the like. Not cool, but what’s worse than that? When they don’t know what the hell they're talking about, then convince the majority that they do. This is the case for a lot of Digital CCTV (DCCTV) manufacturers. If you’re going to reference a video specification and plaster it all over your video output, AND you’re one of the world’s leading manufacturers of IP-based CCTV equipment, you should probably have your shit together. Here’s why you don’t.
This fall, CDFS will hold its first elections to the Board of Directors. There are a total of 13 Board seats. The current Board has decided to hold staggered elections such that approximately 1/2, or a total of 6 Board seats, will be up for election in the Fall of 2012, and the remainder up for election in the Fall of 2013. This system has been designed to help CDFS maintain stability and continuity through leadership transitions.

The Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA) is participating in the development of a national standards document for police interview rooms. In support of this effort, standards facilitators are conducting a survey to determine the state of law enforcement interview rooms today. LEVA requests your agency's participation by completing a brief survey. The survey takes approximately five (5) minutes to complete. The survey can be found at:https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JDDZLFW
The survey results will be provided to survey participants at the completion of the project.
Please forward this survey announcement to the person in your agency who is responsible for the maintenance and control of your interview rooms.
Thank you for your assistance.

I've been trying to find time to post a note about last week's LEVA conference since I got back, but have just been overwhelmed with the ever expanding to-do list. It was really great seeing a lot of long time friends and colleagues and getting a chance to learn and network with them again. The entire event seemed to go flawlessly, as always, in large part due to the tireless efforts of the LEVA volunteers (e.g. board & officers).
Another Jem from the Photoshop Jedi Master Deke McClelland. Think a discussion on Photoshop's Image Size tool is too basic for you? Fear for you I do, for that is the mindset of someone leaning toward the dark side.
"The essential Image Size command lets you scale an image on screen or in print. In this week's Photoshop Top 40 Countdown episode, Deke explains resampling and resolution, both of which affect the core quality of digital photographs."
